Associate Principal

It is with great joy and gratitude that I join the Roadrunner Elementary family as your new Associate Principal.
For over 22 years, I have had the privilege of serving students, families, and staff in the Marana Unified School District. I have taught a wide range of grade levels from first through eighth, served as a gifted education teacher, and most recently supported Gladden Farms Elementary as Assistant to the Principal. Each of these roles has deepened my passion for building strong relationships, supporting staff, and helping every child feel safe, valued, and successful at school.
My leadership philosophy centers on servant leadership. I believe every child deserves to be seen, valued, and championed. Having grown up in a Spanish-speaking household and experienced firsthand some of the challenges many families face, I am deeply committed to equity and to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
This belief drives my work as a school leader. I have led school teams, facilitated professional development, mentored educators, and developed thoughtful and creative approaches to student discipline that focus on growth and long-term success.
Marana is not just where I work; it is home. My husband and I have raised our two daughters here, and our family has been deeply involved in the community through school events, sports, and volunteer work. It is a place where connection matters and where I have built so many meaningful relationships over the years. I look forward to partnering with Roadrunner families, staff, and students to create a positive and supportive school culture where everyone can thrive.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, cooking, solving puzzles, and spending time with my family. I am a huge fan of all things Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Marvel. I also have the joy of making music with some of my lifelong friends whose kindness and commitment to service inspire me both personally and professionally.
