Principal

It is my honor to serve as the principal of Roadrunner Elementary School.  I have been in education for twenty years.  I have been a proud member of the Marana Unified School District since beginning my career in education in 2003 as a 5th grade teacher at Picture Rocks Intermediate School.  My administrative journey began as the assistant principal of Roadrunner in 2010 and then I was selected as the principal in 2012. 

I am a native Tucsonan, attended Flowing Wells High School, and am a proud graduate of The University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University.  One of my great loves is to cheer on our Cats!  My family still lives in Tucson and we all remain very close.  As the oldest of three girls, I am enjoying watching my sisters begin their families.  I have a niece, Isabella, and two nephews, Aiden and Bryan, that have stolen my heart.  There is nothing better than watching them grow and develop into wonderful little people. 

I became an educator because I believe that public education has the power to change lives and shape communities.  There are many choices these days for education, but public education is built on the premise that all students are scholars and deserve access to a high-quality education and opportunities no matter what their current level or background.  On my journey I found my passion to serve others and the community could be most impactful at an administrative level.  As the principal, I have the ability to serve all of our scholars, parents, staff, and community. 

At Roadrunner, our mission is to educate, nurture, and inspire all to achieve lifelong success.  In order to accomplish this we have to have a foundation that is built on a culture of strong relationships.  I am fortunate to be able to serve a community full of educators, parents, and community members who are committed to building strong relationships and working together to build a culture and community where every student matters. 

The Roadrunner community has become part of my family and my home away from home.  I believe in the work that we are doing and know that we are making a difference in the lives of our scholars and this community.
